LeBron James is playing golf, and yeah, that matters way beyond whatever number he writes on a scorecard.

In this episode, Brett Smith digs into why LeBron James Golf has suddenly become a real golf story: the YouTube channel, the millions of views, Stephen Curry welcoming him to the game on Instagram, and the PGA TOUR partnership with the LeBron James Family Foundation connected to Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Brett also gives the honest golf eye test. LeBron's swing looks like a confident beginner move: compact, athletic, not a ton of coil yet. And Bronny James? Brett says Bronny's move already looks cleaner, which only makes the whole thing more fun.

The bigger point for Palm Springs golf is simple: when someone like LeBron walks through golf's front door, a whole new audience starts looking at tee times, lessons, range sessions, and local courses. That is good for the game.

Malbon and Malbon Buckets Club hit that sweet spot where golf is bigger than the scorecard — start at https://malbon.com/.

This Palm Springs Golf Podcast feature leans into the people you meet, the places you play, and the culture that keeps the game moving. For golfers in the desert, where Palm Springs golf and lifestyle already go hand in glove, that message lands right in the middle of the fairway.

The spot traces Malbon back to Stephen and Erica Malbon founding the company in Los Angeles, bringing golf, fashion, creativity, and community together for a new generation of players. It also points listeners to Malbon Buckets Club, described as a members-only golf community built around exclusive events, tournaments, limited products, and experiences on and off the course.

It is golf culture, California flavor, and modern golf lifestyle all in one quick hit.

The most useful part of this Golf Podcasts USA segment is the way the Cobra OPTM K Driver is framed: not as a small tweak, but as a driver built for maximum stability and forgiveness. The emphasis is on helping a player stay in the shot even when contact is not perfect, with forgiveness specifically tied to misses away from the center of the face.

For the Palm Springs audience, the episode keeps the product discussion straightforward. The Cobra OPTM K Driver is described as being designed to reduce side spin and keep more drives in play, which is the central promise of the segment rather than a long list of unrelated gear claims.

The tour validation is also part of the message. Rickie Fowler has put the Cobra OPTM K in play, and Gary Woodland used it to win on the PGA Tour in Houston this season. The segment also reminds listeners that Golf Podcasts USA is a local golf podcast network with shows in all 50 states.

The timing of Brett Smith’s network relaunch update matters most for warm-weather golf audiences: Golf Podcasts USA is starting its next content push with Arizona, Florida and Texas because their peak season is about to begin. Palm Springs fits that same seasonal moment, so this update is framed around what comes next rather than a season winding down.

Smith explained that he started Golf Podcasts USA in November 2025 because he saw the rising interest in golf audio coming. In this August 2026 update, he pointed to Google Trends for the search term "golf podcast," which had been mostly flat for the previous five years before a major recent spike. According to Smith, searches are now at an all-time peak.

The relaunch is also about making the network easier to operate at scale. Golf Podcasts USA has content built for all 50 states, and Smith said an in-house publishing tool is being deployed so the network can upload to every platform in one click. The goal is to make distribution simple enough that the network can focus on creating and releasing more golf content.

Looking ahead, Smith said the full relaunch is planned for 2027 around the PGA Show. For this episode, the message is straightforward: the network was built ahead of the surge, the demand for golf podcast content is peaking, and Golf Podcasts USA is preparing its publishing system and state-by-state coverage for the next phase.
